Regulation

The European Commission has decided to refer two actions against France to the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU): the first for failure to comply with the maximum concentration of nitrates in drinking water in 107 supply areas; the second for failure to adopt all the noise action plans required by law. The Commission has also sent Paris two letters of formal notice: one to comply with waste legislation; the other to transpose the rules on the new emissions trading system:

Financing

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has given the go-ahead for the $1.9 billion Kensico Eastview Tunneling and Modernization Project in the Town of Mt.
